Job Summary

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper / Accounting & Finance Specialist to join one of our clients remotely.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day bookkeeping activities, reconciling accounts, processing invoices and payments, and supporting financial reporting.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organized finance professional who enjoys working independently, takes ownership of their work, and can keep financial records accurate and up to date in a fast-moving business environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
• Record and categorize daily financial transactions
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Prepare and process invoices, bills, and payments
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
• Monitor outstanding invoices and follow up on payments when required
• Maintain organized financial documentation and records
• Assist with month-end and year-end bookkeeping processes
• Prepare basic financial reports, summaries, and cash flow updates
• Identify discrepancies and resolve bookkeeping issues
• Support expense tracking and reimbursement processes
• Work closely with management, accountants, and other stakeholders as required
• Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information

• Previous professional experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a similar finance role
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial recordkeeping
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets
• Experience with bank reconciliations, invoicing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
• Strong numerical accuracy and exceptional attention to detail
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to manage recurring financial tasks and meet deadlines independently
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills
• Comfortable working remotely and collaborating with an international team
• High level of discretion when handling confidential financial information

Nice to have

• Accounting, finance, or bookkeeping qualification
• Experience supporting a UK, US, Canadian, Australian, or European business
• Experience working with startups, SMEs, agencies, or fast-growing companies
• Familiarity with payroll, VAT/sales tax, expense management, or month-end reporting
